Shooting Glasses: The Importance of Proper Eye Protection While Shooting
Regardless of whether you are a professional shooter, or just starting up – you should have an understanding of just how important are shooting glasses for safe purposes. Deciding to include a pair of high-quality shooting glasses as part of your gear can make all the difference in protecting your eyes and making the whole experience more enjoyable and successful. But, in order to get the job done, you need to select a proper pair. Here are a few helpful guidelines.
Lens Material
In most cases, the lenses of shooting glasses are made from plastic or polycarbonate. These materials are made durable enough to meet the standards of impact resistance. Polycarbonate is so sturdy and reliable that it's even used in the production of bulletproof glass. But be advised that even though these materials are made to last, you still need to replace them over time. Depending on the amount of use, a good pair of shooting glasses will last you around 2-3 years.
If you wear prescription glasses, don't count on them as a reliable source of protection. You can use special shooting glasses that can slide over them and act as an additional layer of protection.
Lens Colour
There are models that come with clear glasses, and some that feature different colours. The choice is personal. What you need to have in mind though is the UV protection feature. Opt for ones that will protect your eyes from harmful sun rays and blue light. What follows is a more detailed description of various different lenses.

- Clear Lenses – these are the standard option. There are shooters who prefer the clear look without any additional aberration or colour enhancement
- Yellow Lenses – safety shooting glasses with yellow tinted lenses block out “blue light” such as haze and light fog. This colour helps form a detailed edge on objects which improves the depth perception level. It also provides a better view of target lines;
- Orange Lenses – these are also useful for blocking out blue light, and they bring out the orange colour on practice targets. This feature helps you acquire targets quickly and is also recommended for the trap and skeet range;
- Amber Lenses – these types of lenses are especially useful on low-light or cloudy days. Amber builds contrast and makes it possible for the target to stand out even in unfavourable weather conditions;
- Brown/Tan Lenses – brown and tan lenses are recommended for brighter days. Brown shade calms your eyes and keeps the pupils open so that you can register movements;
- Blue/Purple Lenses – this type is a great option for when you shoot around trees or any other strong greens. The lenses that come in blue or purple colour bring out the contrast between green and orange and help your eyes stay focused on the target by blurring out the distracting background.

Culinary Uniform Basics - the Purpose of Each Garment
For some who stands away from the kitchen wearing a professional chef's uniform might be considered as pointless, outdated and stuffy, but believe us, you are completely wrong. Okay maybe the look of the chef's uniform is severe and stark but the usefulness is definitely not. Each piece of this equipment serves for a specific purpose in assisting and protecting the chef as he performs his job. One of the most important pieces of a traditional, professional chef's uniform is the apron and the jacket. Speaking of the most common things we cannot go further without mentioning the colour - white. So, why white? There are a few different reasons why this colour is the preferred choice for a chef's uniform. First, white is reflective which means it repeal the heat instead of absorbing it. White aprons and other uniform pieces can be easily bleached so the stains are not a permanent issue.
Also, white colour connotes cleanliness. Once the uniform becomes dirty, the stains can be noticed much easier while on the white background. And yes, here is a fun fact about chef's white aprons and jackets. Most chefs keep three pieces on hand. One to wear, another to change in case they get burned or very stained and one in case a VIP arrives. So, yes, white aprons for sale and jackets are the most common pieces and here are their purposes.
Apron
No matter how similar they are, not all white aprons for sale are made equally, some stand above others when it comes to quality. In a professional kitchen, a quality apron can serve a few different functions. The stain protection factor is the first reason for wearing an apron. But wearing a quality one will provide you with more than just a stain protection. You spend a great amount of money on a quality bright, white jacket, but there are no chances it will stay white and bright during the whole day, at least you are wearing an apron. Also, professional aprons usually come with additional features like pockets where you can keep the tools you are using the most. With a high-quality apron wearing a pair of kitchen shears is safe so you do not need to worry that it will slice through the fabric. Last but not least, professional aprons are made of thick, flame resistant materials so you can be safe from burns as well.
Jacket
Buying a professional jacket is the biggest investment for one chef. Regardless of their look of an old cotton jacket, they are actually more than that. First, they are designed with safety in mind. After all, kitchens can be really dangerous places to work in with all that fire and sharp objects. With all that equipment around it is very easy to bump into someone and spill a hot liquid onto you. Also, getting too close to the burner can easily turn your jacket sleeves on fire. Fortunately, wearing a high-quality jacket won't let that happen. It is not a magical piece, but it comes made of a material that can certainly protect you from some injuries. Wearing a quality jacket will not only protect you but will also keep you cool and comfortable.
Wearing a jacket will make you look professional as well. Being dressed in that bright, white jacket will let other people know that you are taking your job seriously and that you are not just an ordinary dinner maker, but you are a chef. Also, the double-breasted style makes is very easier to cover stains simply by switching the top and bottom layers.

The Different Types of Workwear and Their Enormous Importance
The huge importance of the right workwear should not be underestimated. As a matter of fact, many companies make significant investments in the workwear of their employees due to the fact that providing them with the right uniforms will help improve their work productivity and will promote a safer work environment.
However, not all uniforms are the same. While for some professions casual clothing may be enough, there are others for which having the proper workwear tops, pants, helmet, and whatnot is of the essence, especially in high-risk jobs, like the ones in the field of construction.
